James Connelly - President
James Connelly is the driving force behind TMC Hotels
& Resorts. James is a visionary with a philosophy to create
elegant accommodations with a minimalist and environmentally sensitive
approach. The establishment of TMC epitomizes his expertise in the
hospitality industry. His career started after achieving his MBA
degree in Business administration in 1980 at the Fordham University
in N.Y. After his work experiences in the hospitality industry in
Sweden and New York, he returned back to the country where his roots
lie, Croatia to establish successful businesses within the tourism
industry.
Herbert Lackner - Finance & Development
With a strong background in Finance, Herbert Lackner
is the group's Financial Advisor. Prior to his appointment at TMC,
Herbert was a Commercial and Investment Banker in Austria, Germany
and Croatia. His career was also extended in the Hotel Industry
covering positions as Executive Chef, Food & Beverage Director
and then General Manager of a prestigious hotel in Germany. Today
he leads the Finance and Development projects of TMC.
Gianni Malerba - Sales & Marketing
Gianni Malerba, who started his hotel career in 1983,
is a graduate of the Hotel and Management School in Italy. His professional
knowledge in hotel management stems from a background of leading
hotel groups, which include Warwick International France, Rank Hotels
England, Killarney Hotels Ireland, Starwood Germany, Africa and
Middle East, Concorde Hotels France, Millennium Hotels Morocco.
Prior to joining TMC, Gianni was General Manager of a five star hotel
in Morocco, England and in Croatia, winning international travel
awards. His extensive experience in Public Relations and Sales &
Marketing made him leading the Sales & Marketing Team at the
TMC.
Davor Zurak - Operations
Davor Zurak attended the Hotel-School in Innsbruck,
Austria before starting his international work experiences. Having
spent a substantial part of his career at some of the world's leading
hotels such as Le Meridien Cumberland, Sheraton (Cairo, Soma Bay,
Frankfurt, Zagreb) and even on cruise lines with Cunard Line, he
is now an all round operations expert. His expertise with a strong
Food & Beverage background allowed him to achieve outstanding
results in every company he was working for. His passion and positive
attitude to provide high standard services to clients, leaded him
to become a very effective Director of Operations for the Group.
His last position was Area Manager and Director of Operations for
14 hotels in Middle East.
